Japan is known for having distinctive four seasons, and in Joetsu, there are many ways you can enjoy the incomparable beauty of the spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
In spring, I recommend you to visit Takada Park to find thousands of cherry blossom trees, which amazingly shine under the blue sky. Ohanami-which is a Japanese translation for cherry blossom viewing, is Japan’s typical and favorite festive event in spring time. People gather around the cherry blossom trees and enjoy drinking and eating with their family and friends.
